Outeniqua Walking Experience

The word Outeniqua means “man laden with honey”, an apt description for this bounteous land, which has been inhabited by humans for close to a million years.

The Outeniqua mountain range snakes majestically along the south-eastern edge of the Cape Province of South Africa.

The Outeniqua Walking Experience takes you on a journey of discovery and tranquillity in a vast and endless world of sheer beauty. The journey encompasses walking trails in the De Hoop valley between the Kouga and Honniball mountains, a unique trip by rail up the original Montagu Pass, a spectacular coastal walk as well as a memorable wine tasting experience on a secluded wine estate in a valley at the foot of Cradock Peak, the highest peak in the Outeniqua mountains.
